RI/IR ranked is now #18 in Google Scholar's top 100 French journals list

RI/IR ranked is now #18 in Google Scholar's top 100 French journals list

Relations industrielles/Industrial relations (RI/IR), journal of Université Laval's Industrial Relations Department has been ranked 18th in the French-language Google scholar Top 100 Publications in the World. This list, which has been updated and published annually since 2002, is the most consulted list of scientific journals in the world, across all fields. RI/IR entered the list for the first time in 2021 at 72nd position, then 50th in 2024. The bilingual journal achieved the highest ranking in its field in 2025. In Canada, the Francophone list includes only six journals. This distinction comes as RI/IR celebrates its 80th anniversary this year.

The director of RI/IR since September 2018, Mr. Anthony Morven Gould, full professor at Université Laval and regular visiting professor at other universities, says: "My incredible colleagues, Mr. Samuel Dinel and Ms. Isabelle Miller-Cantin, and I have worked hard over the last few years. We've used a little creativity and our international networks to develop the journal."

The magazine's next director, Mr. Mathieu Dupuis, Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial Relations, will take up his new post at the beginning of September 2025. "Professor Dupuis is an accomplished researcher with a global vision. He has all the qualities to push RI/IR to the next level, i.e. Top 1 on the Google list, why not!" adds Professor Gould.

Relations industrielles/Industrial relations publishes 4 bilingual issues a year, by authors from all over the world, all available in open access on Érudit's platform.
