Congratulations to Professors Joullié and Gould!

A big congratulations to the Director of our review, Professor Anthony M. Gould and to editorial board member, Professor Jean-Etienne Joullié who were placed second for the 2023 Academy of Management Annual General Meeting Outstanding Article Divisional Award announced in Boston in August, for their paper published in the Academy of Management Learning and Education, 21(2): Having nothing to say but saying it anyway: Language and practical relevance in management research [ https://journals.aom.org/doi/10.5465/amle.2017.0207 ]

Professors Joullié and Gould

As one of the “Big Three” Academy journals and with a manuscript acceptance rate of less than three percent, the Academy of Management Learning Education is widely regarded as amongst the most prestigious and high-profile scholarly management and business journals in the world. The periodical, a google “Top-10” business journal, is consistently ranked at the pinnacle of every major journal ranking list on all continents and, together with its sister scholarly journals, the Academy of Management Review and the Academy of Management Journal, has established a reputation for being at the vanguard of research and commentary on matters of workplace superintendence, stewardship and governance. To provide context for Professor Joullié and Gould`s recent second-place status, it is worth remembering that previous Academy of Management Outstanding article award recipients include luminaries such as Henri Mintzberg, Michael Porter and Peter Drucker.

The Academy’s 2023 award finalists and winners are listed on the Academy of Management website : https://aom.org/membership/awards-and-recognition/publication-awards/2023-publication-awards

The Academy of Management Annual General Meeting is amongst the largest yearly conferences of any kind in the world and regularly attracts over 20 000 attendees from all countries. In 2024, the Meeting will be held in Chicago.
